Parking for the climbs for the festival is allowed in a designated area at Knik River Outfitters and a short shuttle is provided to the ice climbs in Hunter Creek. Please be aware that the festival does not authorize parking near the Hunter Creek bridge on the Knik River Road.
To get to the parking for the shuttle take the Glenn Highway north from Anchorage. After going past Eklutna, exit at the Old Glenn Highway just before the Knik River Bridge. Turn right and begin heading east on the Old Glenn Highway adjacent to the Knik River. Eventually, after several miles the main road will curve left and cross the Knik River. At this turn in the road, drive straight which turns into the Knik River Road. Drive up the Knik River Road for approximately 8.5 miles to Ed Rush road (marked with sign). Turn left on Ed Rush Road and drive a short distance to Buckshot road. Turn right on Buckshot road and drive for a short distance to Hunter Creek Adventures (Knik Glacier tours) at the end of the Buckshot road. Park in designated areas. Take a short 5 minute shuttle bus ($1 per person per ride each direction) to Hunter Creek to access the climbs for the festival.
