LASTEST NEWS FOR 2010

The Alaska Ice Climbing Festival, held March 5 - 7, 2010, is a gathering of ice climbers and outdoor enthusiasts wanting to experience the latest and greatest in the sport of ice climbing. This year the festival will be held in Hunter Creek Canyon, north of Anchorage. Click here for driving instructions.

Since parking at the Hunter Creek trailhead is limited the Alaska Ice Climbing Festival asks that you follow the signs to participant parking. Parking for participants is established at Knik River Outfitters. Please have exact change for the driver. Shuttle Service begins at 7am on Saturday and 8am on Sunday.

Come join us for a fun-filled weekend of climbing skills clinics, ice climbing competitions, gear demos, slide shows, auctions and after climbing parties.

All climbers are welcome to attend, regardless of ability level. Sign-up for a clinic, climb in the competition, or try out the latest climbing gear. Non-climbing participants are also welcome at the Alaska Ice Festival, suggested events to participate in are the, slideshow presentations, auctions and after climbing parties.

Thank you to Scarpa North America, Black Diamond, Petzel, Camp U.S.A. and Patagonia for donating demo gear to the festival. Demo gear is available for all clinic participants to use free of charge.
